Quick, what’s the root of 228? What’s the highest-ever grossing Mexican film? If you answered ‘15.1’ and ‘Instructions Not Included’, there are two possibilities. One is that you are a walking encyclopaedia. The other is that you’re using the most powerful brain-enhancement technology of the 21st century: the Internet.

Even though the internet was the first step to exploring what we can do with technology, as technology has flourished and expanded, we have developed an entirely new invention: Artificial Intelligence (AI). In simple terms this is when computer systems are able to perform tasks that require human intelligence.

Currently, AI is blowing up on social media. Now, anybody can simply open a website and speak to an AI chatbot. Even though plenty of benefits come from AI, it has started to take over a lot of industries, such as the medical and art industries. Would you expect art to be expressed by AI? It has always been a form of aesthetic expression for humans, but now you can feed text prompts to an AI generator and watch it develop an art concept that matches the prompt. 

I believe that, as technology reaches new heights, people who work in tandem with AI will prosper and thrive, prevailing over those who will try to – or be forced to – compete against it.
